Christina Grimmie American singer and pianist of 22 years, rose to prominence on Youtube with the zeldaxlove64 nickname, where she has gained millions of views for her extraordinary covers of well known songs by contemporary pop artists and best known for having participated in 2014 to the 6th season of the NBC’s singing competition The Voice, was brutally murdered by a psychopath later identified as Kevin James Loibl, 27 year-old of St. Petersburg.
The madness took place on June 10, 2016 after a concert in the popular music venue The Plaza Live located in Orlando (Florida). Where Christina had just performed with the band Before You Exit and she was signing autographs for fans shortly before 10:30 p.m. local time when the gunman approached her and opened fire.
The brother of the singer, Marcus Grimmie, attempted to disarm the killer, but during the scuffle the man has fired again turning this time one of the two weapons he had with him against himself taking his own life.
The artist was immediately aided and taken at the Orlando Regional Medical Center where sadly she died approximately at 03:00 a.m. on Saturday 11 June as result to the serious bullet wounds reported. Christina Grimmie
a few hours before the show posted a short video on her Twitter account in which invited the fans to go to the concert, never imagined that among her fans could hide him, Kevin James Loibl, the killer who in a moment would take away everything, wiping out her dreams and projects.
The death of Christina Grimmie, young artist of immense talent has really shocked and upset everyone, our heart like that of her family, friends and fans is steeped of pain and suffering for this terrible loss. It’s hard to believe, but even to think that a girl can die in this absurd way.
